Soul Surfer

Soul Surfer is a really good book. It's about a girl named Bethany Hamilton who gets her arm bitten off by a shark one day when she is surfing. She was surfing in the waters at hawaii with her friend alana, and her dad when a shark suddenly bit off her left arm. Unfortunately they weren't able to save her arm. The book is about how she overcame the accident, with the help of her family and friends, and how she overcame her fears and got back on the board and started surfing again. The first thing she wanted to know after surgery was when can i surf again. That just shows how much she loves the sport and she was a brave girl that couldnt wait to get back in the water and get back to competivive surfing. She kept god by her side at all times, and i think that is what gave her the strength to overcome this attack.
